Planning Delivery of a Watch-Winder Safe

A watch-winder safe is a piece of furniture built in steel. It is made to order and delivered to your door, so a little planning before you order saves trouble on delivery day.

Know the timeline

ZOSS safes are made to order. Production and door-to-door delivery take 3 to 4 months from the date of your order, depending on your country and location. If the safe is for a move, a renovation or a gift, count back from that date.

Measure the route, not just the room

Start with the outside dimensions on the product page. Our largest safe, the Titan 40, measures 80 cm long, 75 cm wide and 185 cm high. Then walk the path from the street to where the safe will stand and measure the narrowest points:

• Exterior and interior door openings
• Hallway widths and tight corners
• Stairs, landings and ceiling height on the way
• Elevator door and cabin size, if you live in a building

Choose the final position

• Power: the winders and interior lighting need an outlet close to the safe.
• Clearance: leave room for the door to open fully and for you to stand in front of it.
• Floor: tell us what the floor is and which level of the home the safe is going to, so we can plan handling with you.

Tell us about access before you order

Larger safes may need special freight handling. When you contact us, let us know:

• The delivery address and whether it is a house, condo or office
• Any stairs, elevators or narrow passages on the route
• Building rules, such as booking an elevator or delivery hours
• Where in the home the safe will be placed

Customs, duties and taxes

Import duties, customs charges, brokerage fees and taxes may be charged by the destination country or the carrier. They are not included unless stated at checkout or in a written quotation, so confirm the current requirements for your destination before shipment.

Customizing your safe

All ZOSS safes can be customized in colour, material, drawer design and interior. Custom upgrades are priced separately from the listed price. Settle the design before production starts, because it is built into the same 3 to 4 month schedule. See Custom Safes.

On delivery day

Clear the route, have someone present to receive the safe, and inspect it when it arrives. If anything is damaged or not as ordered, contact us right away.
